Rasa terkejut juga saya apabila lama tak mendengar khabar berita tentang Sufiah Yusuf, pelajar Malaysia yang genius dalam bidang Matematik hingga dapat melanjutkan pelajaran ke Oxford dalam usia yang terlalu muda. Rasa bangga sebagai rakyat Malaysia terpahat juga, namun masa yang berlalu banyak mengubah. Sufiah kini bukan lagi seorang pelajar yang pintar. Banyak juga artikel yang saya baca melalui laman web dan juga blog dari luar yang menceritakan tentang Sufiah, banyak yang negatif dari yang positif. Tidak kurang juga yang mencemuh dan menuduh dengan pelbagai alasan baik dari media utama negara mahu pun dari luar negara.

Apa pun, kita tidak tahu apakah sebenarnya yang telah mengubah beliau menjadi sedemikian, kita tidak merasai keperitan atau sesuatu yang sukar untuk ditempuhi sehingga membuatkan kita cepat untuk menuduh dengan melulu. Kita sepatutnya lebih kearah menolong, bukan menuding, bukan juga mencari siapa yang silap. Sepatutnya kita lebih terarah untuk cuba membantu dan meringankan beban yang dipikul.

However, Farooq is now in jail after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting two 15-year-old girls whom he home tutored in maths. On another development, Zahid urged Muslim bloggers to help counter the attack against Islam by Dutch legislator Geert Wilders through his short film "Fitna" which was posted on the Internet. "This is the time for the bloggers to do something useful and not just use their blogs to condemn the government," he said. Zahid said the action to boycott goods imported from the Netherlands was good but not enough to counter the anti-Islam attack.
